A GLIMPSE OF PRITYA’S WORK

Pritya is a space that revisits tradition, that recaptures the wisdom of years, that acknowledges, learns and in return, creates a space for tradition in today's fast changing world. Pritya meets this vision through various projects of documentation, translation and classical dance. Culinary treasures or spiritual wisdom - recipes handed down by grandmothers, pearls of knowledge imparted by saints, retelling and translating stories of bygone days in words and in dance movements - we move ahead remembering that it is our link to our past which is our eternal substratum.

PRITYA offers:

1) Translation and editing in the English-Hindi pair. We have translated a range of literature - religious discourses, stories, poetry for children, lesson plans and literature for NGOs.
2) Transliteration of Sanskrit and Prakrit texts.
3) Choreography and teaching of the Kathak dance form.
